FLU SHOT 2021 INFORMATION

It is recommended that anyone over the age of 6 months get a flu shot this year.  All three WHC clinics are administering the flu shot by appointment only.  Please call the clinic to check availability and make an appointment.  Spaces are limited and priority will be given to high-risk patients.  If you are over 65 and you received your flu vaccine at the pharmacy please call or email us so we can update your chart.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we are limited in the number of vaccines that we can offer this year.  We apologize for the inconvenience but we have no control over the number of doses we receive from Public health and when we receive them.   If you are over 65 and the high dose shot is not available, the regular flu vaccine is a reasonable alternative.  Patients are encouraged to get the flu shot at any local pharmacy if it is not available at our clinic. Both regular and high dose flu shots are being given at most pharmacies to anyone 5 years and older.  Children under 5 years of age must receive it by their doctor.

Please note: If your child is under 9 years of age and they are receiving the flu vaccine for the first time, they will need to receive two doses one month apart.  Please call your doctors office for an appointment.
